Multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird has announced the in-person return of his annual Gezelligheid concerts at Chicago’s Fourth Presbyterian Church. The first series of his season-defining holiday shows in three years will take place from Dec. 12 through 16.
Following the release of Bird’s latest album, Inside Problems – which reached #1 on the NonComm, Americana and College radio charts – as well as a co-headline tour with Iron & Wine, where he played to sold-out audiences at the Greek Theatre, Red Rocks, New York City’s Pier 17 and more, Gezelligheid will serve as a celebration of the holiday season and as the return of a beloved Chicago tradition.
Bird has also announced an upcoming appearance on CBS Saturday morning on Saturday, Aug. 20., where he and his band will deliver three Inside Problems tracks live in the studio. The performance comes after last Friday’s release of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert featuring Bird and his Iron & Wine touring partner, Sam Beam, read the full story here
All five nights of Bird’s Gezelligheid residency will go on sale at 11 a.m. E.T. this Friday, Aug. 19, with pre-sales beginning at 11 a.m. E.T. tomorrow, Aug. 16. For more tickets and information, visit Andrew Bird’s official website here.
